2. What data we process

• Account data: email address and password (stored encrypted).
• Game data: characters, progress, items and in-game activity.
• Technical connection data, such as your IP address, needed to run the service and keep it secure.

3. Why we use it and legal basis

• To create and manage your game account and provide the service. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To protect the service and prevent fraud, cheating and abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To send you marketing emails about Instarworld (news, events, updates and game offers). Legal basis: your consent or, if you are already a user, our legitimate interest in telling you about similar products (Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(f) GDPR and Art. 21 of the Spanish LSSI). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email or by writing to [email protected].

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Our servers are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH inside the European Union, which acts as a data processor solely to provide hosting. No data is transferred outside the European Economic Area.

We will only disclose data to authorities when required by law.

5. How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. If you delete it, we will erase your data except where the law requires us to keep it, for the period the law sets. Data used for marketing emails is kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier processing.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or the supervisory authority in your country.

7. Minors

If you are under 14, you need consent from a parent or guardian to create an account (Art. 7 of the Spanish LOPDGDD). The minimum age may be higher in your country.

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as password encryption and secure connections.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and notify you by email if the change is significant.
